At Mt. Hebron High School, we embrace the joy of diversity within our community. We support our LGBTQIA+ and strive to support and enrich their time at MHHS. We are committed to providing an educational and social environment that affirms and promotes an inclusive, equitable space which values diversity.
HCPSS has in place comprehensive supports across all of our schools:
Mt. Hebron has an LGBTQIA+ Club called SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Alliance). SAGA is a club designed to give students a safe place to gather socially, expand friendships as well as a place to learn about and discuss topics related to the LGBTQ+ community. Both LGBTQ+ students and allies are welcome to attend.
We also have Rainbow Representatives At Mt. Hebron. Rainbow Representatives ensure that schools are allies and advocates for LGBTQIA+ students, staff, and families. The school Rainbow Representative attends quarterly meetings; receives and disseminates information regarding LGBTQIA+ topics of interest to the school and school community as appropriate; and provides instructional support for educators.
