  • Here are the stats on last week's Pi week.
    • But first, Thank you to the math department for collecting the money for Grassroots and showing the Don't Do Nothing video.
    • Thanks you to the counseling staff for putting together the lesson about suicide awareness and Mrs. McCarthy and Mr. Harman for implementing the lessons in their health classes.
    • Thank you to Mrs. Marton, Mrs. LeConte and Mrs. Ahearn for their fun, stress reducing lunchtime activities.
    • Suicide is a serious matter.  We all have mental health, so we are all at risk for a mental illness.  Sometimes a mental illness can lead to suicide. But, if we can have an honest and open conversation about suicide, suicide can be stopped.  Talking about suicide stops suicide.  Remember, if you see a friend struggling, tell an adult.  The adults will  take over and help your friend.  It doesn't matter if you are wrong, nobody is going to get in trouble.  When you speak up, you are saving a life for that moment.  Every life is a life that matters.  Remember, friends tell!
    • And now for the results . . . we raised about $2,300 for Grassroots!!! This is almost $200 over our goal of $2100.  We will let you know when we will have "Mount Hebron Crisis Support Day" at Grassroots!
    • Thank you students and staff for helping to raise awareness for suicide.  We are so fortunate to have a kind, caring, and generous community at Hebron!  Thank you for allowing me to share my daughter's story.  And students, remember, Don't Do Nothing, tell an adult when a friend is struggling with life's issues.  Thank you.
