Important Information for Students and Parents!

This handout was distributed to every student at the Pre-Administration Meetings on April 24th and 25th.  

Mount Hebron High School - Instructions for Registering for AP Exams

2018 AP Exam dates:  May 7-11 and May 14-18
Late Exam Testing: May 23-25

Cost per exam: $94, check or money order made out to: Mt. Hebron High School

  • There is no discount for taking multiple exams.
  • Students can request financial assistance while registering.  Students needing assistance will only be charged $15 per exam.  Amy and Melissa will be in touch with students who marked that option on their registration form.  Students are welcome to contact us with questions.

Registration Dates (in detail):

  • Regular Registration: March 1st through March 29th.  Checks must be received by 2:30pm on the 29th and online payments by 11:59pm.
  • There will be no registration during spring break.  If students register during spring break, the registration will be considered late, and processed during the late registration period.
  • Late registration will begin after spring break and close April 13th.  The date is not specified, as we do not know if there will be inclement weather make-up days used during spring break.  Whenever students return, registration will re-open for the late registration window. 
  • All registrations submitted during the late registration window will incur a $55/per test late fee. 
  • Registration closes at 2:30pm on Friday, April 13th. 
  • If a student chooses to cancel a test during the registration window, they can receive a full refund.   After April 13th, the refund is $70 per exam through April 20th. This includes fees from College Board and the school system.  After April 20th, there will be no refunds issued.

Students register through Naviance.  Registration is not complete until a signed copy of the registration survey and payment is received in Student Services.  Step-by-step instructions are included below.

  1. Sign-in to Naviance (linked through hcpss.me)
  2. Read the instructions for “2018 AP Test Registration” on the Naviance homepage
  3. Click on the “About Me” tab near the top of the homepage
  4. In the left column click on the “2018 AP Exam Registration & Fee Waiver Request”
  5. Complete the registration form
  6. Print two (2) copies of the form
  7. Once survey is complete and two copies have been printed, be sure to enter the date (MM/DD/YYYY) in the last question.
  8. Click submit
  9. Bring one (1) copy of the printed form with a parent/guardian signature with your online payment receipt or a check or money order made out to Mt. Hebron High School, to the administrative hallway near Student Services, and drop it off in the AP Box (please staple the payment to your form).

Rosters of students who have registered for AP Exams will be emailed to teachers from Amy and Melissa on a regular basis.  Please post these rosters in your classroom so students can confirm that their registration is being processed

Exam testing location: Most are held at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene on Rt. 99 near Patapsco Middle School.  Studio Art is held at Mt. Hebron, and Chinese is held with Centennial.

The AP Pre-administration meetings are scheduled for April 24th and 25th  in the cafeteria after school (ending at 5pm). Students must attend 1 session for roughly 30 minutes.
