  • The South Asian Club is sponsoring “Project Book Tree” to help the literacy problem in India and other South Asian countries.  In an effort to support this issue, our book drive is geared towards providing books for underprivileged girls in India.  From May 22nd – June 2nd.  Collecting gently used books for all ages.  “Project Book Tree” boxes will be in the front lobby.
  • Attention Juniors: If you are interested in working with students as a lab assistant or with a teacher as their aide, see your counselor for an application.  ALL applications are due by June 14th
  • HCYP is looking for six high school students to work as basketball coaches on Friday nights beginning April 21 thru June 9.  Hours would be 6pm to 10pm.  If interested, see Ms. Prevosto – great way to earn a little money.
  • Students who use the Media Center during lunches & After-School are to sign in on the computers at the Media Center Front Desk.  See Dr. Neugebauer with any questions.
  • College Visit Dates – Juniors & Seniors Sign up for visits in Naviance – See your counselor if you have any questions.
  • 2017 Yearbook - Don't forget!  Yearbooks are on sale.  Ordering is simple.  You can place your Yearbook order online by going to the Mt. Hebron website and clicking on the Student Life drop down.  http://mhhs.hcpss.org/

  • Students who need help getting on Canvas, see Ms. Richter in the Media Center
  • The Howard County Police Department will be hosting a free, one week overnight Youth Police Academy, July 16th – 21st at the Public Safety Training Center.  It is for students between the ages of 15918 years old who are interested in a law enforcement career.  The Youth Police Academy replicates the actual Howard County Police Academy.  This experience is designed to help students explore career and leadership opportunities, life skills, and character education.  Students will participate in role playing, practical exercises and physical training.  For more information, contact your School Resource Officer or check out the Howard County Police Department website @ www.hcpd.org under Youth Programs.
