  • HCYP is looking for six high school students to work as basketball coaches on Friday nights beginning April 21 thru June 9.  Hours would be 6pm to 10pm.  If interested, see Ms. Prevosto – great way to earn a little money.
  • Students who do not have a parking permit are not allowed to park on school grounds!
  • Students who use the Media Center during lunches & After-School are to sign in on the computers at the Media Center Front Desk.  See Dr. Neugebauer with any questions.
  • College Visit Dates – Juniors & Seniors Sign up for visits in Naviance – See your counselor if you have any questions.
  • 2017 Yearbook - Don't forget!  Yearbooks are on sale.  Ordering is simple.  You can place your Yearbook order online by going to the Mt. Hebron website and clicking on the Student Life drop down.  http://mhhs.hcpss.org/

  • Students who need help getting on Canvas, see Ms. Richter in the Media Center
  • The Howard County Police Department will be hosting a free, one week overnight Youth Police Academy, July 16th – 21st at the Public Safety Training Center.  It is for students between the ages of 15918 years old who are interested in a law enforcement career.  The Youth Police Academy replicates the actual Howard County Police Academy.  This experience is designed to help students explore career and leadership opportunities, life skills, and character education.  Students will participate in role playing, practical exercises and physical training.  For more information, contact your School Resource Officer or check out the Howard County Police Department website @ www.hcpd.org under Youth Programs.

  • Graduation Information Packets were distributed to Seniors on Thursday, 4/20
  • Turn in your Diploma Signature Forms to Mrs. Mathias in Student Services ASAP
  • Class Night and Class Picnic tickets are on sale from Mr. Murach, room 204 and Ms. Vitali, room 235.  Picnic tickets are $10, Class Night tickets are $25.  You can also purchase online and pick the tickets up from Murach and/or Vitali

    • Swim Club Members Meeting during Viking Time in Portable 4 (Mrs. Maerten’s room) to take a group picture with the trophy – Don’t forget to wear your shirt
    • The Future Medical Professions Club has invited guest speaker, Dr. Amat Hussain, Emergency Department Chairman at St. Mary’s Hospital to speak during Viking Time in room 240 today about medical school and working in the ER – come join us if you are interested in a career in the medical field
  • Thursday, 5/4:
    • Support Best Buddies after school Snack sale in the front lobby
    • Spring Sports Team Captains – Mandatory Meeting immediately after 6pd in the cafeteria.  ALL Spring Sports Team Captains Must Attend!  Any questions, see Ms. Prevosto
    • NAHS having an Important Meeting for All NAHS students after school in room 121 (Mrs. Hannah)

    • Oyster Gardening Club activity – meet at the Marina at 1:45pm – stop by room 210 if you need directions

    • Voter Registration for Seniors and students who are 16 – in the Cafeteria during ALL lunch shifts – Must be a U.S. Citizen – Must have a driver’s license or driver’s permit or last four digits of social security number - Forms for registration are available in the front office

    • Seniors periods 1 & 5 Exams
