HEBRON HAPPENINGS:

  • ALL SCHOOLS CLOSE 3 HOURS EARLY – FRIDAY, 3/10
  • Students who use the Media Center After-School are to sign in on the computers at the Media Center Front Desk.  See Dr. Neugebauer with any questions.
  • Dream Team – Any student interested in participating in an informative video about the diverse and social structures in our community?  The Dream Team is searching for students to give testimonials about their identity and its role in our society.  Contact Mr. Peabody in Student Services if interested
  • AP registration bulletins were distributed to students last week.  If you did not receive a bulletin, please see Dr. Kiehl in room 109.  Registration opens on March 1st and the most up-to-date information regarding registration can be found on Naviance and the school’s website.
  • Free SAT Prep Class Review beginning Tuesday, February 14th.  Eight session review will be held after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays with four sessions focusing on English and four sessions focusing on Math.  Student participants are required to attend all four sessions and abide by classroom norms and regulations set by the teacher.  Each one hour class will begin at 2:40pm and end at 3:40pm.
    • Tuesday Classes:          2/14, 2/28, 3/7, 3/14 – will meet in room 231
    • Thursday Classes:        2/16, 2/23, 3/2, 3/9 – will meet in room 204

  • Freshman Class Board Volleyball Tournament - Thursday, April 20th.  Sign–ups will be available after school on Tuesdays – winners will receive a Pizza Lunch!

  • The Howard County Police Department will be hosting a free, one week overnight Youth Police Academy, July 16th – 21st at the Public Safety Training Center.  It is for students between the ages of 15918 years old who are interested in a law enforcement career.  The Youth Police Academy replicates the actual Howard County Police Academy.  This experience is designed to help students explore career and leadership opportunities, life skills, and character education.  Students will participate in role playing, practical exercises and physical training.  For more information, contact your School Resource Officer or check out the Howard County Police Department website @ www.hcpd.org under Youth Programs.

    • Attention Boys!  Reps from M. Stein Tuxedos will be here during ALL lunch shifts in the back of the cafeteria to take measurements for prom tuxedos.  You can look through their catalog and order later.  Measurements are FREE!  If you order from Stein Tuxedos, you can pick your tuxedo up from school the week before Prom and bring it back to school on Monday after Prom. 
    • SGA’s Annual Shakerock Shakedown Dance Tickets are $5 – Being sold during ALL lunch shifts
    • Tri-M Music Honor Society will meet today after school in the band room – performances will start @ 2:15
  • Tuesday, 3/7:

    • NAHS - Art Club & National Art Honor Society members – meeting after school in room 121 – Please Note We will be meeting every Thursday in March after school - See Mrs. Hannah with any questions.
    • Environmental Club – Trash Pick-up after school – meet in the front lobby @ 2:15 – gloves and bags will be provided.  Come get service hours if you need them.  Make sure to fill out the form for the after school bus if needed.  See Mrs. Mongano (rm225) if you have any questions.
